Ages 13-19
A group of young Christ-followers, together committed to elevating the worth of Christ in our lives. reck·on·ing Everything is worth something to you. Everything. Whether you think about it or not, you place a value on everything and everyone you know. Your time, your friends, your stuff, your family, your money, even God – everything is worth something to you. The question is: How much worth are you giving the things that will last forever? So many young adults place a lot of worth on things that do not matter. Other times, they place little worth on the most important things in their lives. In the reckoning young adult LifeGroup, we will help each other place worth on the right things in life, with our main goal of elevating the worth of Christ in our lives. the reckoning purpose statement: We will be a group of Christ following young adults that strive to elevate the worth of Christ in our lives. We will choose to stand up for what is right (Philippians 4:8), not to conform to the ways of the world (Romans 12:12), and to simply first love God and then love one another, especially other lost and hurting young adults in Cocke County (Matthew 22:37-39). the reckoning is Purpose Driven. We will be a group that will serve God by serving others (Ministry), will respond to God’s love (Worship), will grow in Christ by studying His life (Discipleship), will love, serve, and spend time with each other (Fellowship), and will speak of the greatest love story ever demonstrated - Christ’s love for the world (Evangelism).
