Parents, Crossroads is here to help you! God wants us to teach our children about Him!! The Bible says in Deuteronomy 6:5-7 (New International Version)…

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

We know you’re a busy parent. Between school, ball practice, dance lessons, church, and everything in between, you just don’t have that much extra time. At Crossroads, we have that in mind. We want to help you with tools that will help equip parents to make the most of everyday moments together.

In the Biblical model of Deuteronomy, the home should be the primary place where a child learns about God. We offer tools such as “God-Time Cards” and “Virtue Packs” to give parents simply ways to help their kids grow in faith and character and provide activities to be used once a week during the following four Family Times.

Monthly Virtue Packs Contain:

Drive Time: This CD includes an introduction to FamilyTimes, an upbeat recording for kids called ‘KidJam’, tips for parents called ‘Parenting Matters’, and an original song about each pack’s virtue.

Meal Time: The CD also contains a printable PDF file with ideas for family discussions, accessible by putting the CD into your computer.

Bed Time: Choose one night a week to read the bedtime cards with your child.

Morning Time: We include four encouraging cards on which to write a personal message and give your child throughout the month.

So when visiting KidStuf, DS Nursery, and PowerUp!, your child will learn great lessons based on this model. Children receive ‘God-Time’ cards each week to take home with them. Plus, we offer Virtue Packs for you to buy and use at home. They are $5 each at the info table (Crossroads pays about $12 each for them). We offer them at this price because we want Crossroads to help you be the best parent that you can be.

Many of the members and leaders at Crossroads are parents, too. We only want the best for our children! At Crossroads, we feel privileged to have the opportunity to join with you and help our kids grow up making wise choices, trusting God no matter what, and treating others the way they want to be treated. Plus, they will have a blast - it's known that Crossroads' kids never have to be dragged to church!
