The Cross Centered Life

Unless we have a Right understanding of God and the Holiness of God, and who we are in Relation to God, then we can never understand the _______________.

1 Corinthians 1:18, 2:2
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.

Isaiah 64:6
We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags.

God is _________________ in His Righteousness and Holiness.

Because God is Righteous, His _________________ is Justified.

John 3:36
The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who rejects the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

Because God is Perfectly Righteous and is absolutely Pure in Holiness, one ____________ against this Holy God is an infinite offense deserving of eternal punishment.

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people, because all sinned

Matthew 7
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

Romans 5:6
For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly.

2 Thessalonians 1:5-10
And God will use this persecution to show his justice and to make you worthy of his Kingdom, for which you are suffering. In his justice he will pay back those who persecute you.  And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, bringing judgment on those who don’t know God and on those who refuse to obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with eternal destruction, forever separated from the Lord and from his glorious power. 10 When he comes on that day, he will receive glory from his holy people—praise from all who believe. And this includes you, for you believed what we told you about him.

Acts 17:30-31
“God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. 31 For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.”

Colossians 2:11-14
When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.

13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

Matthew 3:8
Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance; and do not assume that you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father’; for I tell you that God is able, from these stones, to raise up children for Abraham.

If you would say you have met Jesus, was it at the Cross on His terms not yours?  ________________.
