WHAT WE BELIEVE

HOLY BIBLE

We believe the Bible was written by men who were divinely inspired by God. Therefore we believe the Bible is without error. We believe in taking the words of Jesus seriously.

GOD, JESUS, THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit). We beieve that Jesus Christ is God’s son who became flesh (John 1:1, 14, 18) to reveal God to man and to become the savior of a lost world.

MAN

We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with him, but became separated from that relationship by sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort. We believe that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for sufficient payment for their sins.

THE CHURCH

We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by worshiping Him and making Him known to a lost world.

BAPTISM

Christian Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior.

THE LORD’S SUPPER (COMMUNION)

The Lord’s Supper (Communion) is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and juice, memorialize the death of our Savior and anticipate His second coming.

MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption.

God’s intent for marriage and the family is the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a covenant commitment for a lifetime. Marriage is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His Church.
