Selah: Processing the Pandemic: The Age of Rage

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.  The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

A ____________________________ is a demonic fortress set up in your mind, thoughts, actions, and/or behaviors where the enemy attempts to take control.

Our Goal this Morning, is NOT to just Hear this, Listen to this, Know this, or even to just AGREE with this, but to make the necessary Heart and Mind Corrections to _____________ and _______________ this.

Ephesians 4:25-5:2
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.  Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Proverbs 18:19
An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city.  Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars.

Matthew 24:10-12
Then many will fall away, betray one another, and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.

Anger ______________ our Intimacy with God

Matthew 6:12-15
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.   14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Anger can cause you to ___________________ God’s intended Will for your life.

 Hebrews 12:14-15
Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

When you allow Anger, Bitterness, Resentment to lay claim to your life, it is inevitable your God-given potential begins to _________________.
